In Mexico public sewage is not very common. As a result most homes have a septic tank which then sends the processed water through a wetlands system for clean the water. We recently found a great Master’s Thesis paper from Sheela Varma atĀ George Mason University in Virginia discussing proper sizing, design, and plant use. Correct wetlands plant selection and design is critical to a healthy system and clean water discharge.
Take a read.
