Come to a Garden Party

FIRST ANNUAL Mayan Garden Club Gourmet Garden Party a Huge Success

       

The Mayan Garden Club met for our Gourmet Garden party at Skips beautiful hacienda in Xcaret. Besides wonderful food and company Skip, who has a Master’s degree in Horticulture, treated us to a  tour of his home and gardens.

 

         Bruce shared information on a rare plant he had grown and Steve gave us an update on his project to collect data to help turtle conservation. Kathleen from Canada, now visiting in Akumal, joined us. She writes a paper on herbs and is gathering information and pictures on indigenous plants in the Yucatan.

Our club has grown from eight people in January 2015 to thirty five and we continue to have many talented people join us and share information.
